What is a Central Processing Unit (CPU)?

A central processing unit (CPU) is the electronic circuitry within a computer that carries out the instructions of a computer program by performing the basic arithmetic, logical, control and input/output (I/O) operations specified by the instructions. Sometimes referred to simply as the central processor, but more commonly called a processor, the CPU is the brains of the computer where most calculations take place. In terms of computing power, the CPU is the most important element of a computer system. On large machines, the CPU requires one or more printed circuit boards. On personal computers and small workstations, the CPU is housed in a single chip called a microprocessor. Since the 1970s the microprocessor class of CPUs has almost completely overtaken all other CPU implementations. The CPU itself is an internal component of the computer. Modern CPUs are small and square and contain multiple metallic connectors or pins on the underside. The CPU is inserted directly into a CPU socket, pin side down, on the motherboard. 

What are Natex Refurbished Electronics?

Our refurbished products have been decommissioned from working environments. Refurbished products are always tested for functionality and defects before they are sold. The main difference between "refurbished" and "used" products is that refurbished products have been tested and verified to function properly, and are thus free of defects, while "used" products may or may not be defective. Refurbished products may also be unused customer returns that are essentially "new" items.

CPU Return Policy
*Return for full refund within 30 days.
*Return for replacement within 60 days.

When returning any CPU modules, the items must be returned to Natex within 30 days of the invoice date for this policy to apply. For a replacement of any CPU modules, the items must be returned to Natex within 60 days of the invoice date. Return is defined as receipt of the product by Natex, and not the mere issuance of an RMA.

The following conditions are not acceptable for return:
*Modules exhibiting physical damage.
*Modules that are missing the manufacturer label containing model number, part number or serial number.
